One Family, One Design, Since 1906
Harry Gerstner was twenty-two, fresh from a four-year woodworking apprenticeship, when he built a tool chest as a side project. It caught on. With a hundred-dollar bonus he started a company — and named it “H. Gerstner & Sons” because it sounded established, though he would go on to raise three daughters and never have a son.
More than a century later the company is still family-owned and still building chests from Harry’s original drawings. Of the twenty-some workshops making wooden tool chests in his day, Gerstner is the only one left. This rolling cabinet is part of the Gerstner International line — the same recognizable designs, finished in dark oak and offered through Garrett Wade at an attainable price.

Two shallow top drawers, a deeper middle drawer, and two tall bottom drawers — all jointed hardwood, lined in matching dark brown felt, with oak-plywood bottoms. Room for everything from fine instruments to bulky supplies.

Drop Leaf + Locking Guard
An 11″ × 16″ leaf folds down along the side for extra work surface when you need it. Its support brace doubles as a locking drawer guard — drop it down the front and the drawers are secured.

Five-inch rubber casters move 100 lbs of cabinet easily; two swivel fully and lock for stationary storage. The curbed top becomes a work surface for small projects — or a platform to display something special.
