The standard clear 2" diameter lenses are German-safety shatterproof, laminated glass (7/64" thick).
Accessory glass lenses are gray (UV protection sunglasses) and real level-5 Welder's lenses (these however, are not laminated safety glass). These Goggles with aluminum frames are extremely comfortable to wear for extended periods as the middle flexible strap hinge allows them to fit almost any face and the cushioned leather padding fits the face snugly. They are several steps up from the typically available plastic protection and are really exceptionally neat, we think.
The goggles here come with the clear lenses as well as the Level 5 Welder's Lenses. The UV protective lenses are sold separately.

"Great looking, good field of vision, easy to change lenses. Lacks the heft and precision that one might associate with the term ""German"". The metal has a tinlike (tho I suppose that's aluminum like) feel and the threading has a sharp edge. The strap is short and the buckles are flimsy."

- Are these ANSI Z87 approved?
- Hello Julian, these safety glasses meet the Euro Equivalent standard EN 166, which is similar to the ANSI Z87 standard. However, they are not specifically ANSI Z87 approved.
- What Tools do I need to adjust the pins for the leather nose strap? and How would I go about doing that?
- Keyauno, There is no adjustment for that. The only adjustment is for the headband strap. Not sure why that would need to be adjusted. I will email you my contact information so we can discuss your need for that.
