Description

Our life is frittered away by detail,” wrote Henry David Thoreau.  “Simplify, simplify.”  That philosophy is embodied by our Simple Iron Hook, which we’ve reduced to the barest essence of the form: a flat back curving to form an ideally proportioned hook, forged to a thickness that’s pleasing to both hand and eye.  Secures with two screws to any wall, post, or backing board to safely hold a favorite rumpled coat, dog leash, walking stick, cooking vessel—anything that needs a sturdy home.  Measures 4 ¼” long and extends 2” from the wall.

We carry a set of 8 #8 Phillips head screws (sold separately) that are designed to mount this item.

The Iron Hook

"I love the size of the hook; the curve is right to hold a towel in the bathroom. My only gripe is the squared-off end on the curve of the hook. Outside of that, it's great and will be used proudly."

Q&A

What weight can it carry ?
40 # depend on screws and what its screwed
I have 3 questions : (1) does this item include matching screws, as seen in the sample preview images ? (2) if the screws are included, what is their length (screw-in depth) ? (3) is there an approximate estimate of up to how many pounds (U.S.) in weight these hooks can support ? The requested information will be useful because : I plan on using these in a workers tool & equipment lockup unit (12' X 12' wooden shed, secured) on a commercial industrial sized construction jobsite. For hanging a variety of items which vary considerably in size & weight, although it's understood I wouldn't be hanging anything extremely heavy (i.e. scaffolding components, fencing sections, heavy-duty jackhammers, etc..) more like smaller portable handheld tools whether manual or electric and various cleanup tools like brooms shovels rakes magnetized pickup devices etc etc... Thanks in advance for any feedback. I like look of these, that they're iron, & have a flat finish instead of reflective type
Anthony, I just conducted an impromptu test of the hook. I attached it to a stud ( with 2" screw) and hung a 25lb. woodworkers vice on it. Zero deflection. It should be fine for your purpose. It doesn't come with screws( we are working on that with the manufacturers) . Thank you
